- I have become increasingly concerned at the wilful abuse and mockery hurled at small men. This is pure jealousy because it is an unacknowledged fact that the vast majority of talented men are smaller than 5ft 7ins. I will track the fortunes of small men, and defend them where necessary. Apart from this mission, I like to write about the county of my birth, Essex, and south London, where I live. I also have a vague interest in buildings.
